Another Thanksgiving away from home. Last year I spent Thanksgiving with Kiri in New Zealand. We took a road trip, and I believe we had canned mac and cheese and cheap wine on the coast near Kaikoura for Thanksgiving dinner. We went out on some giant rocks in the water to explore and we practically ran into a huge seal. He was just snoozin' but probably could have done some damage if we had pissed him off. We also swam with seals the next day.
This year we had a nice grad student get together at
Chris and Melissa's place. Lots of great food and good conversation. But no seals.
