Smoky Mountain National Park

These photos have been held captive on my phone so I thought I'd share them now that they are free. They are from my visit to Smoky Mountain National Park back in early November with Chris, Melissa, and Tara.  A nice mix of fall and winter.  Its the most visited national park in the U.S and also one of the largest protected areas in the eastern U.S.




This was not my first visit to the park because Amber and I camped here in August '09 for a couple days before Jill's wedding in Nashville.  We hiked to a waterfall, tried to avoid people, saw a black bear, found an old cemetery, and followed a few cute black-throated blue warblers.  So here are a couple photos from my first visit...
